Nearly 10% of all babies born in the U.S. are born prematurely. This concern deepens as we know prematurity represents one of the great predictors of infant mortality. As one of the most developed countries in the world, we fall
short and rank in the top 10 countries of the world with the highest premature birth rate. Infant prematurity is a health hazard that presents many problems stretching far beyond the individual families affected.
