| Describe your journey that led you into nursing? | When I was a kid, I wanted to be a lawyer and doctor. As I got older, I realized that I could make a greater impact on people by becoming a RN. Here it is, almost 17 years later and I love the work that I do! |
| “Share the proudest moment in your life up until now.“ | Besides being a mother to four amazing children, my proudest moment is walking away from my previous position. I was very comfortable in that position. I got the days off I wanted and had a lot of seniority. However, I felt the need to move on. It wasn’t easy, but I did it and I’m proud of myself! |
| “What projects are you working on now? Feel free to share your goals for this year.“ | Currently I am working on brand which includes my organization, Knowledge from Heart. Through this organization, my goal is to educate Black women about heart health and to equip them with the tools necessary to advocate for themselves and the ones they love. I also will be starting a podcast with the same goals in mind. Ultimately, I want to be valuable resource for those who look like in the community. |
| What can we look forward to next from you? What is the best way for followers to connect with you? | My next plan is to post on social media to build up my brand! It is my hope that I can have a significant impact on the community through education and empowerment.
