Kidney Health is Wellness Wealth

March is now represented by many things, National Kidney Month being one of them. I started my business with a focus on helping people on dialysis preserve their wellness. Even though I have pivoted to the efficiency and implementation space, kidney health remains an important part of my mission. The health of your kidneys can and will affect all the systems in your body. I want to share a few tips to help you not only stay as well as you can, but also focus on the everyday things you can do to decrease your risk of developing chronic diseases including Chronic Kidney Disease.

Life Management
Oftentimes, chronic diseases begin with behaviors and actions that negatively affect our health such as overeating, lack of movement and not finding ways to process through our stress. By starting with managing your life, you can start establishing a strong foundation built on a solid scheduling system and realistic intentions. This will help you to find the time for work, fun and wellness in your daily life. The better you get at managing your life the better you will be with your time.

Time Management
Once you have taken some time to reflect on your life and what you want, you can start to refine how much time you have to spend. Knowing how much extra time you have in your day is key to deciding how you spend it. How you spend it will depend on what season of life you are in and what you are working towards accomplishing. Regarding your wellness, it’s important that you make sure you are incorporating activities in your day that will nourish and replenish you. Taking care of your mind and body should be on your daily to-do list.

These tips are a great place to start:

  • Decide what you want to see in your life
  • Calculate any extra time you have
  • Incorporate healthy activities into your daily life

Taking care of your health and wellness extends far beyond what you eat. It encompasses many spectrums of wellness needed to keep you healthy and whole. If you are having a hard time fitting wellness into your life and space, let’s chat. Email me at info@lwapconsultingllc.com.
